Wilcom ES 21D Digitizing

To have quality embroidery you need quality digitizing. Wilcom's world-renowned and industry leading quality software will give you the powerful tools you need to excel in your business and create stunning, quality designs.

Creative input types

New to Wilcom ES 21D are Backstitch and Stemstitch input types.

Recreate original hand embroidery effects with these new, easy to use decorative tools. Backstitch forms a continuous thin line, similar to machine stitching, while Stemstitch produces rope-like lines which can vary in thickness depending on the angle of the stitches. Both can be used to make a smooth continuous row of stitching suitable for outlines.

Creative Stitch Types

Backstitch is one of two new creative stitch types added to Wilcom.

This new line tool makes for an interesting alternative to standard Single Run or Triple Run.

Commonly used to create hand embroidery, Backstitch is popular in folk art and craft and home embroidery.

Stemstitch is one of two new creative stitch types added to Wilcom.

Ideal for creating original hand embroidery effects, Stemstitch is a very popular home embroidery and craft style.

The user has full control over the thickness, spacing, and angle of each stem stitch.

Automatic Digitizing, Point and Stitch

Automatic Digitizing

Smart Design, Wilcom's automatic digitizing option, comes standard with Wilcom ES 21D. An extension of Point & Stitch™ technology, Smart Design recognizes shapes in bitmap images and makes decisions about the most suitable input methods and stitch types to use.

It also determines the stitching sequence based on closest join. Artwork is effectively ‘batch processed’ to create the many embroidery objects that make up a design, saving costly digitizing time.

Measuring Tooltip

Using the "M" key on the keyboard, measure the distance between two points and the angle of the line between them using the Measure command. The Measure tooltip shows distance and angle.

Measuring Tooltip is available exclusively in Wilcom and standard in all levels.

Lettering, Editing, Digitizing

Not only do you get the power and precision of Wilcom digitizing, ES 21D is also a fully enabled lettering and editing system, continuing Wilcom's quality across all levels.
